After Birth: Clinical Issues Related to Postpartum Depression and Parenting
Pre- and postpartum depression affects up to 20% of women in the United States. The longer the duration, the more it can interrupt a mother’s ability to connect with her baby. This presentation will discuss clinical issues that therapists and/or home visitors may encounter when working with parents who experience depression after the birth of their child. Case examples will be discussed.
