With gentle humor and great music, our performances give kids and grown-ups the tools to have important conversations about mental health.
Our shows include:
- Clear, simple language appropriate for all ages
- Relatable and memorable portrayals of mental health disorders and neurodivergence
- Concrete strategies anyone can use to support mental health
Performed by talented actors ages 10 – 18 and created by professional theatre artists Matt Jenson and Marya Hart, we tour schools, libraries, theatres and community organizations throughout Minnesota.

Our live performances and online puppet shows are free to audiences.

Since 2008, we’ve done over 400 performances throughout Minnesota at:
- Schools
- Theatres
- Churches
- Professional conferences
- Community centers
- And more!

We deliver high quality mental health content through high quality arts experiences.

Our scripts are reviewed by both mental health professionals and youth with lived experience to ensure accurate, honest and sensitive portrayals of mental health disorders.
Since 2008, we have adapted 36 fairy tales to cover a wide range of mental health disorders, concept and neurodiversity.
Writer/director Matt Jenson and composer/music director Marya Hart have created theatre with youth for over 20 years. Fidgety Fairy Tales is regularly funded based on artistic excellence by the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council and the Minnesota State Arts Board.
