| Like many wonderful nonprofits, the Minnesota Association for Children’s Mental Health was born out of an observed need.
A group of dedicated parents of children with mental health disorders understood that there was an underserved area in children’s health care. Whether grappling with anxiety, autism, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, or other challenges, the issues were prevalent, but viable solutions were scarce.
In 1989, this committed coalition of parents came together to establish The Minnesota Association for Children’s Mental Health, with the primary goal of advocating for their children and those of families throughout Minnesota. |
