The Minnesota Association for Children’s Mental Health is excited to announce its 8th annual Infant & Early Childhood Multidisciplinary Conference hosted at the St. Paul RiverCentre, November 16-18, 2025.
MACMH welcomes early care and education professionals, mental health professionals, home visitors, public health and child welfare professionals, and all others who support young children prenatal-6 and their families and caregivers.
This conference promotes infant and early childhood mental health principles to inform practice across disciplines. It brings together a vast network of multidisciplinary professionals from across the state who all work with young children, their families and caregivers.
Discussions will be centered around how,
- Work with young children must always occur within the context of their primary relationships.
- There is a need for reflection in relationship-based work.
- Development informs the work.
- Infants and very young children and their families have unique relational and developmental needs which require practitioners to have a unique set of skills.
- Research informs practice and practice informs research.
Pricing
One-Day (Monday or Tuesday) –$185
Two-Day (Monday and Tuesday) –$360
Sunday (Pre-Conference) Introduction to FAN Training — $75

We are now accepting nominations for the Michele Fallon Award, to be presented at the Infant & Early Childhood Multidisciplinary Conference, November 16-18, 2025!
Please submit your nominations by Friday, September 25th, 2025.
The Michele Fallon award was created to recognize an individual who has had a significant impact on the field of Infant & Early Childhood Mental Health in MN. Michele Fallon, inaugural recipient of her namesake award said, “This field is full of humble and unassuming rock star workhorses.” Michele played a pivotal role in the advancement of infant and early childhood mental health in Minnesota and truly embodies Jeree Pawl’s famous quote “how you are is as important as what you do”.
The Michele Fallon Award honors individuals who are making extraordinary contributions in everyday settings, championing infant mental health principles within their unique contexts, and fostering collaboration across the field. Providers across the multidisciplinary field of infant and early childhood mental health (early care and education, home visiting, education, nursing, child welfare, clinical mental health, pregnancy and birth support, community and social services, medical care, and early intervention) are excellent candidates for nomination.
Strong nominees will have shown evidence of the following:
- Experience working with or on behalf of young children prenatal-6 and their families/caregivers
- Promoting infant mental health principles
- Work that fosters growth, building capacity, and promoting sustainability within the early childhood mental health field
- Supporting and participating in cross-disciplinary collaboration
- Leadership experiences that support the development of the infant & early childhood workforce and/or systems that support young children and their families/caregivers
To be considered for the award, the nominee should have the following qualifications:
• Hold Infant/Early Childhood Mental Health Endorsement®
• Work in Minnesota
