  • Incredibly enriching experience

The Board Certified MACMH Supervisor Series strongly emphasized cultural competencies, trauma-informed care, and the supervisor-supervisee relationship. This training was an incredibly enriching experience that deepened my understanding of what it means to be an effective mentor and leader in the mental health field. The training explored key aspects of building strong supervisory relationships, fostering professional growth, and creating a supportive and ethical environment for supervisees. I especially appreciated the emphasis on cultural humility, trauma-informed supervision, and how to guide clinicians with both accountability and compassion. The instructor provided real-world applications that strengthened my confidence in mentoring others while ensuring high-quality client care. This training has truly enhanced my ability to meaningfully support, guide, and empower supervisees. I highly recommend it to any mental health professional seeking to refine their supervisory skills and cultivate a more impactful and culturally competent practice.

  • Definitely recommend this series

I had a very positive experience in the MACMH Supervision Series!
The content of our live lectures was carefully thought out, and special attention was given to issues of identity and culture throughout the series. I was so pleasantly surprised at how connected I felt to other members of the cohort and to Renita. I felt that Renita really cared about us, and that I got to know the members of the cohort well!
I would definitely recommend this series to others who are preparing to become supervisors. I am very grateful to have been selected for the first cohort.

  • Exceptional group of professionals

I have thoroughly appreciated the opportunity to enhance my supervisory skills and gain deeper insights into how I can better support my clinical team. Throughout the course, I was surrounded by an exceptional group of professionals, all of whom shared a common dedication to providing high-quality support to both our clients and our colleagues. This experience has broadened my understanding of different approaches to working with individuals, especially when it comes to meeting them where they are in their personal and professional journeys. I’ve also developed key supervisory skills such as active listening, conflict resolution, and motivating team members, which I am eager to apply in my daily work. I am excited to take these newly acquired skills and implement them to foster a more collaborative, effective, and supportive work environment for my clinical staff. I appreciate Renita and Amanda for providing this platform for us and taking time out of their busy schedule to help us grow in our professions!

  • Wonderful professional growth opportunity

The MACMH supervision series was a wonderful professional growth opportunity. I learned a lot about the world of supervision and what it means to supervise another clinician. As someone who has never supervised, I was able to get really clear on what my philosophy of supervision would be as a supervisor. It was also really wonderful to connect with and learn from other clinicians of color. Renita was amazing as well. I would definitely recommend the training!
