Statement & Resources: Annunciation Catholic School Tragedy

Today’s school shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis is a heartbreaking tragedy. These events should never happen, and yet too often our children, families, and communities are left to bear the unthinkable weight of such violence. 

At the Minnesota Association for Children’s Mental Health (MACMH), we know that moments like this underscore the urgent need for educators, mental health providers, and caregivers to have the resources, tools, and support necessary to both care for young people and to care for themselves. 

We hold the students, families, educators, and the entire Minneapolis community in our hearts. Together, we must continue working toward a future where every child feels safe, supported, and seen.
