The 20th Annual Child & Adolescent Mental Health Conference featured keynote speakers Dr. Allen E. Lipscomb, PsyD, LCSW, and Dr. Henry Emmons, MD.  

Dr. Emmons presented “The Science of Hope: Prevention and Recovery from Depression and Anxiety,” which explored what it takes to cultivate inner calm and joy, and how to protect one’s brain across the lifespan. 

Dr. Lipscomb presented “How to Foster Resiliency Among African-American Youth,”  which explored the unique challenges faced by African-American youth and how these barriers too often interfere with their ability to develop a healthy sense of self.
