The Minnesota Association for Children’s Mental Health mission is to promote and pursue optimal mental health from prenatal to young adulthood.

Board Member Responsibilities
The following are the responsibilities asked of each board member:
+ Serve minimum of one term, which equals two full years.
+ Attend all full meetings of the Board. Regular meetings are held virtually 6-8 times each year.
+ Become knowledgeable about the mission, activities and programs of MACMH.
+ Read and understand MACMH’s bylaws.
+ Carry out all lawful activities necessary for the conduct of MACMH business, including reviewing and approving strategic plans, budgets and working with the Executive Director.
+ Assume a leadership role in at least one activity or committee of the Board.
+ Represent MACMH in the local and statewide community.
+ Participate in fundraising
+ Other duties as assigned
Additional responsibilities are in place for the officer roles of President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.
Application & Election Process
1. Candidate submits application
2. Nominating committee reviews application.
3. Nominating Committee conducts interviews with the applicant by video call
with members from the board.
4. Based on the results of the application review, interview and references check,
the MACMH Board reviews and votes on Nominating Committee’s
recommendations.
5. Executive Director contacts applicant regarding the Board’s decision. If elected,
then coordination for board orientation will be scheduled.
