The 2014 conference included the launch of the MACMH MHED Talks. This presentation series occurs each year at the conference in the spirit of TED Talks. Using stories, speakers spend 18 minutes sharing their expertise on new concepts, programs, treatment models, research and healthcare trends. 

Keynote speakers included Jonathan Friesen and Dr. Rebecca J. Shlafer. Friesen presented “The Whole in the Center: The Forgotten Beginnings of Our Mental Health Experience.”  

Dr. Shlafer’s keynote was titled, “Parents in Prison – Collateral Consequences for Children and Families.”
